Ben Cheney escaped the long winters of New England for Southern California, where his liberal arts education led to an interest in the Asia-Pacific region, and a desire to continue exploring different environments. He studied abroad in China, returned there after graduation, and during his second stay he by chance crossed the strait and discovered Taiwan. He has been living, studying, and working in Taipei for several years now. Originally from a very small town, he is continually fascinated by the urban organism and how a city’s design impacts its humanity. He also believes in a world that is properly informed about Taiwan, beginning with distinguishing Taiwan from Thailand.
