Will New Changes Improve Taiwan’s Image on Migrant Work?
A number of changes are set to occur in the migrant work landscape in Taiwan going forward. For one, the first batch of migrant workers in the hospitality field has arrived, consisting of 35 Indonesians. These 35 workers arrived in Taiwan as part of the new Multinational Skilled Worker Enhancement Program and are classified as skilled labor, rather than blue-collar migrant workers.
