This photo series shows the lead singer of the Taiwanese band Fire EX (滅火器), Sam Yang (楊大正), when he visited to the Legislative Yuan chamber to support the students and teach them how to sing one of his songs.
The first picture, called “Taiwan’s Future” (above), centers on a student posed in front of Sun Yat-sen’s portrait and the R.O.C. flag, double-exposed to ingenious effect.
The students represent Taiwan’s future hopes and aspiration, in which the Sunflower movement plays an important role. The occupation of the Legislative Yuan clear demonstrated the students’ will to the world. It woke the Taiwanese people from their slumber, raising their civic consciousness, and showing the way for Taiwan’s democracy, in its current endangered state, to overcome the Kuomintang’s (KMT) assault.

畫面中的重點,來自學生、孫中山遺像與中華民國國旗的影像經過重曝後所產生地巧妙交集。
學生代表的是台灣未來的希望,在這次太陽花運動中扮演了很重要的角色,
占領議場並清楚的向全世界傳達他們的訴求,
喚醒大家沉睡已久的公民意識並引領著過往的中華民國(所謂的國父孫中山先生之咽喉)
承受國民黨的攻擊與挑戰(國民黨黨旗的芒刺在背),
來拯救這瀕臨崩壞的台灣民主社會,走向未來。
