To protest the CCP’s political control, the student union in HK began their student strike today. There are 15 universities who have declared participation in the student strike. Student gathered in the University Mall and read their manifesto. In the upcoming week, the student union has planned a series of democracy lectures and film screenings, so that the participants can still learn while skipping classes. The student strike not only means that the students have stood out, it also means the start of massive civil disobedience. Will the rest of the people in HK follow? How will CCP officials react? These questions are worth keeping our eyes on.
